1900s Small French Postcard Album with Cards
A partially filled French postcard album published by Merson Aine, Paris. Green cloth inked with: "Cartes Postales."  There are about 34 full/partially full leaves of 1900s postcards, and numerous loose cards (approx. 140 cards total), plus empty pages. The leaves are printed with brown floral and bird borders for two cards. Most of the cards are written on and/or stamped/franked. They are mostly addressed to Madame de Baumont at various locations, some to Monsieur Paul de Baumont, dated early 1900s. Numerous have writing on the face. Subjects include French/European countryside and lakeside/seaside scenes, towns/villages, chateaux, monuments, a couple soldier/military, and miscellaneous novelty. The album is in fair condition, stain and wear to the cloth, foxing, several detached leaves; the postcards are in overall good condition, foxing on some. 10 3/4" x 8" x 2 1/4".
