1900 S$1 MS67 NGC. This turn-of-the-century Philadelphia Mint Silver Dollar was produced in respectable numbers (8.8 million pieces), many of which survive in Uncirculated grades. The typical Mint State survivor, however, grades no finer than MS65, some of which are poorly struck, and still others of which exhibit indifferent luster. A condition rarity of the highest order, the Superb Gem in this lot displays billowy satin luster that is readily appreciable in the absence of all but the lightest golden tinting. Both sides are uncommonly well struck for the issue, particularly in the centers, and there is not a single mentionable bagmark. Population: 12 in 67, none are finer at either NGC or PCGS (1/03). Important notice: We expect to be auctioning lots at the rate of 200-250 per hour. On occasion eBay live bid software cannot keep up with the pace of the auctions where 4-5 lots per minute can hammer down, so we recommend that you place a realistic absentee bid now as insurance to avoid disappointment. Also please note that all Heritage/CAA lots purchased through eBay Live carry a 20% Buyer's Premium. Please make sure you read the Terms and Conditions.
