2 ¾” bronze badge in the shape of the Liberty Bell, reading “June 19th 1900 Republican National Convention Philadelphia”. The center of the bell features a gold image of McKinley. Comes with original red, white & blue ribbon. The Republican National Convention of 1900 was held in Philadelphia, PA, during which the party nominated President William McKinley for re-election, with Teddy Roosevelt nominated as his Vice President. This badge originates from that conference and represents   a time of promise and hope for the United States of America, a hope that would be shattered less than 2 years later by an assassin’s bullet.
