Though the silver dollar is a staple of the modern commemorative market, the classic commemorative series has just one issue, the Lafayette dollar, with a net mintage of just over 36,000 pieces. This strongly lustrous and well-defined example has hints of rose, pink, and gold patina at the margins against otherwise silver-gray surfaces.
