19 journals. One 1912-1922 ledger focuses on philanthropic organizations. Others are day books for items sold to local people and companies: Wonder Company, Life Minor, Fleischman Co., Kasker Pottery, Humboldt Soda Works, Ergiuaga, Star Hotel, etc. Some books are accounts payable to outside companies. Most are 1910 to 1919 and give an historic look into the workings of a mercantile company. Includes billheads from Stephenson Drug Company Haviland Chevrolet , Acton Fisher Tobacco, and Humboldt Star. Other ephemera inside books. Pages and pages of inventory and items sold. Some wear on the books. Many have wear on the covers (warping) and bindings. A few have pages detached from the books.
