Magnificent white-mutton fat jade carving in shape of a lioness and cub playing with a large ball. It is carved in high relief and open work. This is a master lapidary work done in homogeneous white-mutton fat jade. It dates to Qien Lung reign, period of renaissance of arts in imperial China. Length: 4" (10 cm.), width: 3.1" (8 cm.). Estimated value: $4.000.
