Beautiful set of 5 late 18th century Georgian English bone china plates. The plates are hand painted in the fashionable decor de la Rene or cornflower pattern with gold gilt borders. This pattern was first painted on Sevres porcelain For French Queen Marie Antoinette about 1774. Cornflowers were favored by Marie Antoinette. The cornflower pattern is regarded as a classic Louis XVI porcelain pattern . Condition: The plates has age crazing and a few hair lines. Measures 8-1/2 inches.
