A Kas is a large-sized cupboard with a distinctive overhanging
cornice, popular in northern Eurpoe from the 17th century. The
Kas was made of Oak, sometimes veneered and further
embellished with ebonized columns and other features. The
cupboards were constructed to take apart without difficulty
(many a toe has been crushed when a pediment was raised
releasing without warning a heavy pivoted door). This particular
Kas is in very good condition with two doors side crown and
back. The two doors and base have crisp ebonized carved detail
on carved legs. It assembles/disassembles with ease.
