Very large, found in Saginaw bay approximately 20 years ago by the consignor when scuba diving, about 500 yards off shore and in 35 feet of water. Through boat rentals and air lift bags, the consignor was able to lift it out and bring it to shore where the local townspeople were waiting anxiously. In between the towns of Tawas and AuGres, Michigan. A very important part of Michigan history. Shank measures 57" H, flukes 44.5" W, crossbar 55" W, with several feet of chain. Very heavy, approximate weight 400 lbs. Circa 18th/19th century.
