Finely potted Chinese Daoguang Period porcelain charger, with shallow curved sides rising to an everted rim, decorated fully in anhua technique and raised on a slightly everted short foot rim; the exterior superbly carved with two five-toed dragons amid swirling, stylized ruyi head cloud scrolls; the carved dragon motif repeated in the center on the interior, with the cavetto decorated with the Eight Buddhistic emblems, bajixiang, comprising the endless knot, the conch shell, the lotus, the vase, the paired fish, the canopy, the wheel of law, and the umbrella; base unglazed; 19th Century; D: 44 cm, H: 8 cm
