<hr align=left size=5 width=33% color=#778899>Two legal documents from County of New London. Partly printed DsS, 1p each on laid paper, 8vo, Stonington, 1791-93. The first being an order to the Sheriff to “<i>attach the Goods or estate of Dennis Egleston</i>” to ensure his appearance before Justice of the Peace Joshua Babcock in a civil suit brought by Plaintiffs Thompson Wells of RI and Roswell Burrows of Grotton, CT, for payment of debt. The second being a summons to appear before Babcock issued in the case of <i>Thompson Wells vs. Jonathan Lewis</i> for payment of debt. Sheriff’s Return penned on verso of each. Occasional foxing; toning. Present also is manuscript DS, 1p, 8vo, n.p., Mar 13, 1860. Charges assessed to Hector Davis for board and clothing plus sales commission. Overall VG.

11. All bidding is done in a competitive manner. The
winning bid will always be one bidding increment
over the second highest bid. The minimum
acceptable bid for any lot is 50% of the low
estimate given in the item description or $25,
whichever is higher.

12. Payment is expected immediately upon receipt of
invoice. All accounts are payable to Signature
House. Payment must be made in U.S. funds. Wire
transfer details are available upon request.
West Virginia residents will pay a sales tax of
6% unless a resale number is filed with us prior
to the closing date. For sales outside of the USA
a credit card is requested.

13. Shipment is made via U.S. Postal Service or
Airborne unless otherwise instructed. Handling,
shipping and insurance charges are added to the
invoice. Oversize and foreign shipments are subject
to increased charges. All items are shipped
immediately upon receipt of payment.

14. Golden Guarantee: All material is returnable within
seven days providing that it comes back in the same
condition. There is a lifetime guarantee on
authenticity to the original purchaser. The item(s)
must be returned with two letters denying it’s
authenticity by expert authenticators acceptable
