Magnificently Engraved Bertuzzi SLE side by side shotgun, 20 gauge, Serial #5768. The shotgun is in fine overall condition with 27” barrels with a full-length filed rib. The shotgun features intricate engraving at the muzzle and breach while the barrels retain nearly all of their blued finish. The receiver features 90% coverage with scroll and game scene, finished with beautiful case hardening. The finely checkered wood stocks show beautiful figure and finish with a gold tone inlay in the base of the fore end marked, “P. CONSTANTINE”. The LOP is 14 ½” to a single trigger and there is a blank escutcheon plate in the butt stock. The shotgun is nicely cased in a leather trunk case with red baize interior. The case includes a set of Briley chokes, wrench and snap caps. The bores are very good, the action is crisp and markings are sharp on this exceptional side lock. Est.: $10,000-$20,000. (Modern).
