A commanding free-form boulder opal cabochon, 63.48 ct, anchors this convertible pendant-brooch. The face shows deep cobalt and violet sheets broken by flashes of neon green and indigo, floating over the chocolate ironstone matrix in broad-flash layers—body-tone grade B, strong play-of-color, no cracks noted. An open scrollwork frame of 18K white gold (rhodium finish) curves around the stone, finishing at each end with a rainbow spray of gems: tourmaline, citrine, tanzanite, amethyst, blue topaz, peridot and a 0.10 ct diamond accent (diamond grade B). The reverse carries both a folding brooch pin and a hidden swivel bail, allowing the piece to be worn vertically as a drop or horizontally as a statement brooch. Total weight 36.6 g. Condition Rank B: routine hairline abrasions to metal; stones secure; opal surface lustrous with minor natural pits.
