18AR-41 FRENCH FLINTLCOKFrench 18th century flintlock pistol with silver mounts circa 1750-1780. Measure 13” with a 6 ½” barrel of .60 caliber smooth bore. Small proof at the left side of the breech and may be St. Etienne. The silvermounts are nicely engraved. The wood shows quality raised carving in floral design at the top of the wrist and behind the rear ram rod escutcheon. Original flintlock with old replaced top jaw and screw. Silver tippedramrod replaced also. Good overall and high quality from the era of the American Revolution.
