<B>1899 S$1 MS67 PCGS.</B></I> Ex: M.J.O. It seems that even novice Morgan dollar collectors know the easily remembered mintage of the 1899 issue, 330,000 coins, likely because of the 99-33 mnemonic device. Despite the low mintage, however, Mint State examples abound--but pieces in the highest MS67 grade are rare indeed. This piece offers radiant cartwheel luster over surfaces that are basically untoned, save for a hint of golden color. Liberty's cheek, and the fields and devices elsewhere, are expectedly clean. Save for a hint of softness over Liberty's ear, the strike is unassailable.
