Quarter Dollars 1899 NGC graded Proof 67. Superb! <b>Original and gorgeous dusky lavender-gray to steel colored toning with surfaces on both sides pristine, sparkling. The mirror fields have wonderful "depth" and reflectivity, so nice they are almost watery smooth. Above them ride the needle-sharp devices, devices that proclaim the mint engraver's attention to detail. 846 Proofs were made. Charles E. Barber designed this quarter in 1892. He was still firmly in control of the mint's engraving department when this 1899 gem was struck on the Philadelphia facility's proofing press. It was Barber along with assistant engraver George T. Morgan who presided over America's interesting array of coin designs at the turn of the 20th century, now more than a century ago, time flies by so fast!</b> <p align="center">Superior Galleries was founded in 1929 and has been a leader in
