<B>1898-S S$1 MS66 PCGS.</B></I> In recent decades, the most plentiful source of '98-S dollars was the Redfield Hoard that was dispersed in 1976. But most of the coins from that hoard were not of today's Gem quality. This is a lovely example that has thick, frosted mint luster over each side and virtually unmarked surfaces. There is just the faintest trace of golden color on the obverse, and the reverse is completely brilliant. Sharply struck throughout.
