<B>1898-S 50C MS65 NGC.</B></I> This is a lovely, ice-white Gem of this difficult issue, with radiant cartwheel luster that any Morgan dollar would be proud of. There is no discernible color on either side, and relatively few contact marks appear on the surfaces. Localized strike weakness shows as a small patch of roller marks under a loupe on Liberty's cheek, and on the opposite side at the right shield corner. Elsewhere the strike is bold and pleasing, and this piece nonetheless offers generous eye appeal for those who prefer untoned coins.
