<B>1898 S$1 PR66 Deep Cameo PCGS.</B></I> Red-gold toning embraces the obverse margin, and is particularly vivid between 4 and 7 o'clock. The left reverse features delicate apricot patina. The glassy fields are void of abrasions, and in fact the surfaces are perturbed only by a solitary curly lintmark across the R in AMERICA. This crisply struck specimen has nicely frosted devices, although the left reverse toning affects the contrast. Only 735 proofs were struck, and few among these can compete with the quality of the present Premium Gem.
