<B>1898-O S$1 MS66 Deep Mirror Prooflike NGC.</B></I> David Bowers (2006) indicates that quantities of the 4.440 million-piece 1898-O mintage were released by the Treasury, making the issue common. In Deep Mirror Prooflike, however, fewer than 55 Premium Gem examples have been seen by NGC and PCGS, and a mere four coins finer! This sharply struck specimen displays barely discernible light tan color on portions of the central devices, and has a cameo-like appearance. Some minute marks and luster grazes on the cheek and neck prevent an even higher grade.
