<B>1898 25C PR69 Ultra Cameo NGC.</B></I> The portrait and eagle are ice-white, and the stars and legends are also thoroughly frosted. A trace of tan toning on Liberty's neck and a faint tan streak near obverse star 6 prevent absolute brilliance, but the contrast is formidable, and the only detraction is a pinpoint fleck above one of the arrow heads. The strike is good, and particularly pleasing on the right shield corner, which is usually incomplete. Minor softness is seen only on obverse star 6 and the fletchings. A scant 735 proofs were struck, most among which have not survived in exceptional grade.
