<B>1897-S $20 MS64 PCGS.</B></I> Booming luster and luminous olive and apricot toning affirm the eye appeal of this expertly struck near-Gem. The fields are well preserved, and the cheek has only faint contact. The annual twenty dollar mintage contest between Philadelphia and San Francisco was closer than usual in 1897, since Philadelphia came within 90,000 pieces of the S-mint production.
