<B>1897-S<$20> MS64 PCGS.</B></I> A boldly impressed near-Gem that features the potent luster and olive-gold toning characteristic of the issue. The reverse is well preserved, and only faint grazes encompass the obverse. In 1897, the San Francisco Mint once again struck more double eagles than Philadelphia, but the race was closer than usual, with a separation of fewer than 90,000 pieces.
