<B>1897-S $20 MS64 NGC.</B></I> Like most of its San Francisco cousins from the late 19th century, the usual 1897-S double eagle has a solid strike. In that respect, this piece is no exception. In other facets, such as its strong luster and the few marks on its yellow-orange surfaces, this near-Gem is well outside the norm.
