<B>1897 S$1 MS67 NGC.</B></I> NGC and PCGS have seen several thousand Uncirculated 1897 Morgans. The certified population begins to decrease slightly in MS65, and more so in MS66. MS67 coins are quite tough to come by, as evidenced by just 25 examples graded, and none finer (3/07). White, near-pristine surfaces are noted on both sides of the Superb Gem in this lot, and take on a partially prooflike appearance.
