1897-O S$1 MS64 PCGS. Light golden highlights envelop this originally toned coin, turning to tan and bronze in the peripheries. The strike is unusually full for a New Orleans Mint product, with above-average detail visible over Liberty's ear. Ample frosty luster is visible, and the few minor abrasions visible seemingly limit the grade. The 1897-O dollar is tough to find in any grade above MS63; indeed, this is only the third piece grading MS64 or higher we've had the opportunity to auction since November of 2005. The discriminating Morgan dollar collector will recognize the unusual opportunity offered with this lot and bid accordingly. Housed in a first generation PCGS holder.

Shipping: Coins & Currency (view shipping information)
