<B>1897 $5 MS62 Prooflike NGC.</B></I> The Mint in 1897 struck 867,800 business strike half eagles, a huge increase from the previous year, while it produced only a token number of quarter eagles. The pinkish-gold, radiant fields contrast nicely against the deeply frosted devices.
