Brokaw, 54 Broad St., N.Y. While nothing could be found in our library concerning this company, the city of Rossland, which the certificate has at its dateline, is a city in the West Kootenay region of British Columbia. The name comes from the name "Ross Thompson, " a miner who staked a claim in 1890. After originally trying to name the city Thompson, he changed it to Rossland after learning that there was already a town with that name.
