<B>1897 $1 MS67 NGC.</B></I> NGC and PCGS have seen several thousand Uncirculated 1897 Morgans. The certified population begins to decrease slightly in MS65, more so in MS66, and MS67 coins are tough to come by, as evidenced by just 27 examples graded, with none finer, at both services (7/07). White, near-pristine surfaces are noted on both sides of the Superb Gem in this lot, and take on a partially prooflike appearance.
