<B>1896-S S$1 MS65 PCGS.</B></I> Ex: Bermuda. The luster is bright and frosty, but the strike is only average by the standards of the series, being adversely affected in this area by wispy roller marks over the central portions of each side. We must stress, however, that few 1896-S dollars display crisply defined focal features. Both sides are fully brilliant with splashes of tan color on the reverse. A hair-like fragment on the die at the time of striking has left a curving, Mint-caused disturbance below Liberty's eye. Very scarce in this near-ultimate grade.
