<B>1896-O S$1 MS63 PCGS.</B></I> The central obverse and reverse of this piece show the usual weakness of strike that is normally associated with products of the New Orleans Mint. This weakness of the design resulted from slightly improper die spacing in the press. Either the press operators purposely set up a tad too much space, or they did not have the experience necessary to dial in a strong strike.
