<B>1896 Election: A Perplexing 7/8" Pinback Variety.</B></I> A fish is labeled "Silver King" and suspended from the fish's underside is what appears to be a balance in the form of leaves with a gold bug in the center. Letters "H U M" across. We do not recall seeing this 1896-dated Whitehead and Hoag button before, but it would appear to have some connection to the gold/silver issues of that year's election.
