<B>1896 $1 MS67 PCGS.</B></I> The 1896 Morgan dollar was a well produced issue that has seen many Mint State survivors from MS60 though MS65. At MS66 the 1896 becomes a bit scarcer, and at MS67 this issue is comparatively rare. As of December 2007, only 68 examples have received an MS67 rating from NGC and PCGS together, two of those in MS67 Prooflike; with none graded any higher. This Superb Gem is sharply struck and exquisitely preserved, with ebullient luster and bright, white surfaces that only show hints of gold patina on either side. Surface marks are minimal.
