This impressive Gem offers slight Cameo frost on the devices, and the glassy fields exhibit pleasing reflectivity. Light gray-gold toning is consistent save for a blush of navy-blue and russet at 3 o'clock on the reverse. The preservation is exemplary for the MS65 level, and only moderate mint-made roller marks in Liberty's hair deny a higher numerical assessment. The present Gem is the single finest PCGS-certified Prooflike, but accuracy compels us to note that while no Deep Mirror Prooflikes have been certified as MS65 by either NGC or PCGS (9/06), the latter service has encapsulated two pieces as MS66 DMPL and another as MS67 DMPL. However, if any of those three pieces were to again appear on the market, they would likely command a price above $100,000. The significance of the current opportunity is uncontestable.
