1895-S S$1 MS64 PCGS. Ex: Ray George. Numismatic author and pundit Q. David Bowers writes in his Guide Book of silver dollars, "Mint State 1895-S dollars are well known for being extensively bagmarked, some actually appearing quite abused. Accordingly, the majority of Mint State pieces are in lower MS grades. A piece MS-63 or finer, with minimum bagmarks, is a numismatic find and is very special." Here is just such a coin, in this case a brilliant near-Gem with good luster, minuscule abrasions that limit a finer grade, and loads of that most elusive quality, eye appeal. PCGS has graded 25 pieces finer (11/06).
From The Cocoa Beach Collection.

Shipping: Coin/Currency (view shipping information)
