<B>1895-S $20 MS65 PCGS.</B></I> Like so many of the late-19th century S-mint Liberty Head double eagle issues, the 1895-S is readily available up through MS62 and MS63 grades, and yet it is highly elusive any finer. In MS64 the number of survivors dwindles to only a few dozen coins, and in MS65 this piece is one of only six so graded at PCGS, with none finer, while another eight Gems are certified at NGC, with one finer (3/07). Both sides offer beautifully lustrous apricot-gold surfaces that show minimal and undistracting abrasions.
