While a good number of the 880 mintage of 1895 proofs appear to have survived the ravages of time (at least according to NGC/PCGS population data), only about 110 or so have been given the Cameo label. The present near-Gem features outstanding cameo contrast, and exquisitely impressed motifs. Dusky milky-tan color overlays both sides, neither of which reveals significant marks.
