<B>1895-S $1 MS62 PCGS.</B></I> 1895-S Mint State coins are usually heavily bagmarked. Indeed, David Bowers (2006) writes that: " ... the booby prize for bagmarking should go to the 1895-S or the 1893-CC; it's probably a tossup." The MS62 specimen in this lot displays lustrous surfaces that are quite well preserved on the reverse; a milling mark on Liberty's cheek (a focal area) is likely all that precludes a higher grade on this coin. The design elements are well impressed, and the surfaces nearly untoned, save for a couple hints of color on the obverse.
