<B>1895-O S$1 AU58 NGC.</B></I> This New Orleans issue usually exhibits a below-average to average strike; sharply defined coins are elusive. Indeed, David Bowers (2005) contends that: "Cherrypicking is encouraged, not easy to do with 1895-O as Mint State pieces are quite elusive." Bowers' comments notwithstanding, we offer here a wonderful high-end AU example that exhibits above-average delineation on the design features, and great luster for a lightly circulated coin.
