<B>1895-O S$1 AU50 PCGS.</B></I> The 1895-O saw a mintage of 450,000 pieces, of which David Bowers (2006) estimates that: "Well over 100,000" were melted. Traces of luster reside in the recesses of this silver-gray specimen visited by wisps of golden-brown at the borders. The design features on this piece were somewhat better struck than usually seen for the date.
