<B>1895-O $1 AU58 NGC.</B></I> The scarcity of the 1895-O dollar is beyond question in the Morgan series, and the AU58 grade level is the breaking point for availability and price for this issue. Several hundred pieces have been certified, but most near-Mint examples are only available in major offerings of dollars in public auctions. Above this, at the MS60 and finer level, the 1895-O is a major condition rarity with only a few dozen pieces known. This piece retains generous amounts of mint luster, especially on the reverse. Both sides are enveloped in rich green, rose, and gray toning. The only mentionable abrasion is located at the bottom of the eagle's breast.<BR><BR><B>Coin Engraver:</B> George T.
