<B>1895 Mayo's Cut Plug N300 Ed Delehanty SGC VG/EX 50.</B></I> Eight years after his appearance on this early tobacco issue, Hall of Fame outfielder Big Ed Delahanty would perish in arguably the most bizarre manner of any Major Leaguer in history, swept to his death over the Canadian side of Niagara Falls. This card, issued the second of three seasons he topped .400 in average, shows typical edge and corner wear, but the surface remains clean and unencumbered by any trace of staining or creasing.
