<B>1895 Mayo's Cut Plug N300 Amos Russie (Incorrect Spelling) SGC Good 30.</B></I> A typo in this Hall of Fame pitcher's block lettered surname resulted in a brief print run for this highly sought after variation, with this earlier version booking for fifty percent more than those with proper spelling (see revised version in this auction as well). A single horizontal crease, only particularly evident upon close inspection, lowers the grade from what might otherwise be twenty or thirty points higher. Edge and corner wear, so prevalent in the set, is at a minimum here.
