<B>1895 1C MS64 Red and Brown NGC.</B></I> The possible remains of extra digits appear at the right sides of the 8 and 5 in the date, unlisted in Snow. The material, at least inside the 8, appears intentional, perhaps the left loop of an extra 8; the matter in the 5 could be some kind of buildup in the die. It would be interesting to find other examples for comparison. This piece is razor-sharp, with four bold diamonds and the L on the ribbon crisp.
