September 17, 1895-Dated, “11th Reunion” Printed Commemorative Silk Ribbon, “124th P.V. (Pennsylvania Volunteers) Survivors Association - Valley Forge”, with rare Vignette of “Gen. Washington’s Headquarters - Winter 1777-78”, Fine.

This historic Silk Ribbon commemorating the 11th Reunion of the 124th Pennsylvania Volunteers Survivors Association held at Valley Forge, some 32 Years after the unit was active. It measures about 4.5” long x 2.5” wide. The 124th P.V. was a short-lived Civil War Regiment which was active from August 1862 to May 1863. Black printed with embossed light dull golden colored text and ribbon with some faint red-hued discoloration near bottom and having several short splits at the upper left. The primary central vignette image on the ribbon is noted in type and shows, “Gen. Washington’s Headquarters - Winter 1777-78” at Valley Forge, where George Washington and his Continental Army Revolutionary War troops suffered through a difficult horrible winter. A nice American Civil War tied to the history of the Revolutionary War related collectible. Very Rare, having the printed vignette of “Gen. Washington’s Headquarters - Winter 1777-78” Valley Forge and is the very first we have offered.
