1894 Winchester rifle, .30-30 cal., 26" round barrel, full magazine, rifle butt, with Eskimo style cutout stock as to be used with Parka, serial #335499. The barrel and magazine tube show 50-70% original blue thinning at the edges, some deep pitting and erosion at left front of magazine tube, with a few finger size spots on the barrel. The frame has drifted to a gray patina, there has been a notch cut in the bolt for an extra sight that is missing. The rear sight is missing its elevator; the front sight is marked Sheard, who were a sporting goods house and manufacturer of sights in the northwest, who also sold furs for trappers and were outfitters to trappers in the northwest and Alaskan frontiersmen.
