<B>1894 S$1 MS64 PCGS.</B></I> Ex: Casper II. Except for the 1895 issues, the 1894 Philadelphia mint dollars have the lowest mintage of any from that mint. The 1894 is an important, high visibility issue in the Morgan dollar series as only 110,972 pieces were produced. This low mintage is undoubtedly responsible for much of the issue's charm and attraction to collectors. However, it is also an unquestioned condition rarity as well as an absolute rarity with high grade pieces seldom being offered. The devices show razor-sharp definition with complete hair detail over Liberty's ear and full feathers on the eagle's breast. The fields are somewhat reflective and the only marks of note are a small cluster between the eagle's right (facing) wing and the wreath.
