1894 Renaissance Royal Russian Egg 1.6 Inches Tall x 2.4 Inches Long 4.064 cm Tall x 6.096 cm Long Enameled Gold Plated Pewter Hand Painted Gift Boxed This hand-painted sparkling egg is adorned with a high-polished white enamel with golden trim. The egg opens on a hinge and closes shut with a magnet, to keep the box securely shut. The piece comes in a beautiful gift box. Egg History: The egg was created by Carl Peter's workmaster, Henrik Winstrom and is crafted of gold, green and pink enamel in various shades, portrait diamonds, rose-cut diamonds, and satin lining. This egg is enameled in translucent pale green and latticed with rose-cut diamonds and decorated with opaque light and dark pink enamel roses and emerald green leaves.
