<B>1894 $1 PR63 Deep Cameo PCGS.</B></I> Proof examples of this issue are closely related to those of 1901. Both dates are rarities in business strike, although for different reasons. The 1894 is rare because it was a low mintage issue, while the 1901 is conditionally rare because most of the mintage was placed in circulation. The common characteristic is that collectors who desire an attractive piece can choose a proof.
