1894 $1 MS64 PCGS. Dollars of 1894 are highly desired in all grades. David Bowers (1993) writes: "Among Philadelphia Mint Morgan dollars, the 1894 is the second rarest (after 1901) in Mint State. Most coins are in lower Mint State ranges. The demand for the latter is softened somewhat by the availability of high-grade Proofs." A hint of light tan color concentrates at the rims of this radiantly lustrous near-Gem. The design elements are well defined, including fairly good detail in the hair at Liberty's ear and on the eagle's breast feathers. A few minor marks are consistent with the grade.

Coin Engraver: George T.
